Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Parrish Riley, age 84, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from her Dublin, GA residence.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Charles N. Riley, four daughters: Charlyn (Donnie) Green of Martinez, GA, Dian (Bill) Davis of Laramie, WY, Tara (Cliff) Tidwell of McIntyre, GA, Teresa (Marshall) McDuffie of Hoover, AL, and her sister, Joyce Clayton of Roswell, GA, 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Formerly of Jesup, GA, Betty was a retired registered nurse, office manager and dental assistant. She lived her life following Christ's example of serving others. As a wife, she was "a special gift from God."
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, December 12, at First Baptist Church, 405 Bellevue Ave., Dublin, GA. Visitation will follow the service.
A private interment was in Surrency City Cemetery.
Family and friends will gather at Sybil's Restaurant, 326 N. 1st St., Jesup, GA on Monday, Dec. 14, at 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dublin First Baptist Church benevolence fund, Trinity Christian School, Adrian Rogers' Love Worth Finding Ministries, David Jeremiah's Turning Point Ministries, D. James Kennedy Ministries, or Charles Stanley's In Touch Ministries.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
