Maudrey Cain Sanders

Maudrey Cain Sanders, age 82, of Hazlehurst, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023 at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Sanders retired from Hazlehurst Mills where she was a lab technician in the Extrusion Department.  She also worked in home health care for fourteen years as a care giver.  Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her parents, George W. Cain, Sarah Cain Rentz, and Burton Rentz; husband, Max R. Sanders; two sons, Stevie Sanders and Randy Sanders; brothers, Jack Cain, George L. Cain, Randall Cain, Dwight Cain, and Mickey Rentz; and sister, Phyllis Cain Williams.

Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Sanders of Hazlehurst; sons, Darryl (Marilyn) Sanders and Marty Sanders both of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Andy (Joni) Lee, Dusty Lee, Caina Lee Johnson, Dawn Hiers Russell, Lori Sanders Wyatt, Tiffany Sanders, and Max Sanders; brothers, J. B. Rentz, Merrell Rentz, and Terry Rentz; and sisters, Hilda Bruce, Jan Jung, and Renee Rentz.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Williams officiating.

Inurnment will follow in Palms Memorial Garden Cemetery at a later date.

Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Regency Southern Care Hospice, special cousins, Randy Rentz, and dear friends, Martha Lee and June Yawn.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
