Mitchel Craig Carter, age 45, of Vidalia passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022 from injuries sustained in automobile accident.
Mr. Carter was born September 14, 1976 in Ware County and was a member of Dunn Memorial Baptist Church. He was a construction worker for Pittman Enterprise and was preceded in death by a brother, Stacey Ray Carter and a niece, Autumn Carter.
Survivors include his wife, Kayla Carter of Vidalia; a daughter, Emily Carter (Cory Johnson) of Nichols; son, Casey (Ashley-Kay) Carter of Nichols; step daughters, Bridget Chancey of Baxley and Kadie Smith of Woodstock; mother, Jane Morris of Baxley; father, Ray (Merlene) Carter of Baxley; brother, Bradley (Kelly) Carter of Alma; grandson, Preston Chancey of Baxley: step-sisters, Darlene Thornton, Debbie Hutchkiss, Tammy Hutchinson, and Tina Sapp. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 21, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Dunn Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Forehand, Rev. Rick Brown and Rev. R.B. Gaskins officiating. Interment will follow at Omega Cemetery.���������������������
Active pallbearers will be Casey Carter, Gabriel Carter, Brock Carter, Bradley Carter, Michael Woodard and Steven Duncan.
Visitation will be held Saturday evening, 6:00 until 8:00 pm, at Swain Funeral Home.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
