Nancy Jeanette Merier

Nancy Jeanette Stone Merier, age 73, of Waynesville passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024 at Memorial Health in Savannah.

Mrs. Merier was born February 15, 1951 to the late Arthur Moore Stone, Sr. and the late Lucille Branch Stone. She was a hard worker and retired as a bookkeeper for Coastal Georgia Community Action Authority, Inc. She also had previous employment with Badcock & Wilcock and Coastal Health Management. She was very family oriented and enjoyed fishing and working in her yard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene William Merier, and her brother, Rev. Arthur Stone, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Sabrina (Devin) Wood of Waynesville and a sister, Geneva (Jerry) Lightsey of Bristol.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Stone officiating. Interment will follow in Oak View Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be David Clark, Jack Aspinwall, Jimmy Humphrey, Kenny Dickerson, Joe Merier, and Jay Bennett.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Swain Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
