Oline Thornton Eason

Oline Thornton Eason, age 85, of Baxley passed away Monday, December 12, 2022 in Community Hospice in Vidalia.

Mrs. Eason was on February 14, 1937 in Appling County to the late Evans Thornton and the late Odell Williams Thornton. She was a member of Carter’s Chapel Church of God of Prophecy and was a homemaker.  Mrs. Eason was  preceded in death by her husband, Vernice L. Eason; daughter, JoAnn Eason; son, Junior Eason; granddaughter, Kandi Eason; sisters, Faye Thornton and Mary Francis Thornton; and brothers, Kenny Thornton, Alton Thornton and Ronnie Thornton.

Survivors include sons, Ernest Eason of Baxley and Ricky Eason of Fairdale, KY; brothers, Willie Thornton, Frank Thornton, Bobby Thornton and Donnie Thornton all of Baxley. Six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 16, 2022 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Andrew Kersey officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow in Memorial Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
