Ollie Mae Jackson

Ollie Mae Jackson, age 92, of Baxley passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025 in Lecanto, Florida after an extended illness. 

Mrs. Jackson was born April 10, 1932 in Appling County to the late Chester Simmons and the late Neltie Giddens Simmons. She was a faithful member of Zoar Baptist Church for many years and was a retired seamstress. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 70 years, Robert Lee Jackson. Mrs. Jackson was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. 

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sheila & Dana James of Beverly Hills, Florida; grandchildren, Daniel (Jessica) James of Atlanta, Andrew (Emily) James of Atlanta, and Timothy (Miandra) James of Lowell, Arkansas; great grandchildren, Lucy James, Miles James, and Evelyn James all of Atlanta, Henry James and Everett James of Lowell, Arkansas; sisters, Alene Thomas of Baxley and Veronis Andrews of Albany; several nieces and nephews also survive. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Zoar Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Brown, Rev. Alan Stalvey, and Rev. Justin McLellan officiating. Interment will follow in Zoar Cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Dyal, Keith Herrington, Jerry Thomas, Will Thomas, Lambert Lightsey, and Lonnie Lightsey. 

The visitation will be one hour prior to the time of the service at the church.
