Ricky Dwight Beckworth

Ricky Dwight Beckworth, age 52, of Baxley, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023 at the Pavilion.

Dwight was born September 14, 1971 in Jeff Davis County and was a carpenter and a longtime employee of Premium Pork. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing.  Dwight was preceded in death by his father, Tracey Fleming Beckworth.

Survivors include his son, Dustin (Mia) Beckworth of Surrency; daughters, Ashley M. Beckworth of Baxley and Gracie Beckworth of Texas; mother, Martha Kersey (Hayward) Sharp of Claxton; sisters, Kathy M. Crosby and Matilda L. Beckworth both of Baxley; brother, Deran Beckworth of Baxley. Four grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and a family friend, Glenda Howard also survive.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Darron Jackson, Rev. Tim Carlson, and Marland Cauley officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Community Hospice and Comfort Care Hospice.

The visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
