Robert Lloyd Carter, age 77, of Jacksonville, Florida died Saturday, March 14, 2015.
Mr. Carter was born February 1, 1938 in Appling County to the late Emory Carter and the late Nina Alice Hammond Carter. He was a retired Welder and Mechanic. Mr. Carter was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorinda Hubbard and a granddaughter, Lucynda F. Fralick.
Survivors include his 3 daughters, Delynda Bagby of Jacksonville, Florida, Donnita Parks of Charleston, S.C and Darla Crawford of Monroe, N.C; 1 son, Richard Carter of Oswego, IL; Sister in law, Shirley Carter of Callahan, FL; 3 Brothers & sisters in law, Lavelle & Betty Carter of Hilliard, FL, L.C. & Rosene Carter and Lake & Catherine Carter all of Baxley; Brother in law, J.L. Gay of Baxley; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Doyle Harper officiating.
Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday evening 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Swain Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers are Alan Chafin, David Wilson, Bert Wilson, Gage Wilson, Ryan Wilson and Stanley Carter.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
