Robert Austin Igou

Robert Austin Igou, age 84, died Sunday, January, 31, 2016 at Community Hospice in Vidalia.

Mr. Igou was born April 15, 1931 in Appling County to the late Robert Echols and Hattie Clark Igou. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jordie Hutto Igou and son, Robert Lester Igou.

Survivors include, daughters, Judy Peters of Jacksonville, FL and Kathy Maxwell of Crossett, AR; son, Keith Igou of Fernandina Beach, FL; sister, Wanda Cottrell of Spencer, WV; brothers, Allen Igou of Bloomingdale and Lavon Igou of Rincon; 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 4, at 11:00 AM at Swain Funeral Home. Rev. Jackie Gordon will officiate. Burial will follow in Zoar Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be David Igou, Chris Igou, Ashley Helmly, Roger Cottrell, David Maxwell, and Jimmy O'Quinn.

Visitation will be at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service.
