Robert Lindsey Powell

Robert Lindsey Powell, age 70 of Hazlehurst passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas.

Mr. Powell was born November 24, 1953 in Telfair County to the late Robert Leroy Powell and the late Minnie Powell.  He was a truck driver and mechanic for Jerry Powell Farms and was a former assistant chief for Horse Creek Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Sue Powell of Hazlehurst; son, Brian Shane (Christina) Powell of Hazlehurst; three grandchildren, Briana Powell, Dessica Aldrige and Chloe Hall; and cousins, Jerry Powell, Lillian Dixon, Gail Mcloon, and Charles Waldorn.

A memorial service will be held at Horse Creek Volunteer Fire Department Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Glynn Stinson officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
