Robert Keith Wilcox

Robert Keith Wilcox, age 79, of Hazlehurst passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at his residence.

Mr. Wilcox was born April 17, 1944 in Jeff Davis County to the late Robert Wilcox, Jr. and the late Sarah Louise Harbin Wilcox.  He was a member of Southside Baptist Church and was a retired maintenance superintendent with IMC Corporation.  He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and playing golf.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Shirley Davis Wilcox of Hazlehurst; sons, Steven (Donna) Wilcox and Kelvin (Angie) Wilcox both of Hazlehurst; sister, Karen Ogden of Hazlehurst; brother, Ronald (Daisy) Wilcox of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Casey (Bree) Wilcox of Hazlehurst, Lauren (Jordan) Ball of Baxley, Brooke (Clint) Taylor, Lindsey (Jay) Klees and Brett (Talia) Wilcox all of Hazlehurst; and great-grandchildren, Charlee, Hadley, Gabe, Sawyer, Landry, Sutton, Chandler, Aubrey and Stetson also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 13, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church with Dr. Ben Glosson, Rev. Jeffery Spell, and Rev. Bryan D. Herrington officiating.

Interment will follow in Satilla Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Craig Wilcox, Chris Wilcox, Justin Wilcox, Clint Taylor, Jay Klees, Johnny Thompson, Jr., and Jordan Ball.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sherry & Ronnie Browning and Paul Wilkes.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
