Ronald Paul Taylor

Ronald Paul Taylor, age 74, of Baxley passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at his residence.

Mr. Taylor was born June 24, 1949 in Appling County to the late Paul Taylor and the late Evelyn Hampton Taylor. He was a member of the Baxley Church of God and was owner of Appling Cleaners. Mr. Taylor loved his family and loved wood working, along with the outdoors, gardening, yard work and going to drink coffee with his buddies.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Yommie Lightsey Taylor of Baxley; sons, Jonathon Paul Taylor and Brooks (Miranda) Taylor both of Baxley; nephews, Paul Rentz and Chris Rentz both of Baxley; and a granddaughter, Marli McLellan of Baxley.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Brown and Rev. Andy Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Omega Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Jason Moody, Riley Shuler, Kasey Rogers, Carlos Collins, David Yawn and Edward Errett.

Honorary pallbearers will be Regency Southern Care, Jada & Keith Miles, City of Baxley Public Works Employees,  Appling County EMA, Joyce Thompson and all friends in attendance.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
