Ronnie Wydell Long

Ronnie Wydell Long, age 55, of Baxley died Thursday, April 9, 2015.

Mr. Long was born December 7, 1959 in Appling County to the late Doric Wydell Long and the late Bessie Loree Herrin Long. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and served as a Gideon. Mr. Long was a former store manager for Winn Dixie.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Kay Dyal Long of Baxley; A daughter & son in law, Mendy Kay & Allen Stephens of Baxley; 2 grandchildren, Loree Kay & Caroline Stephens.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Quinn, Rev. Rick Brown, Rev. Karl Sexton & Rev. Ernest Dyal officiating. Mr. Long will lie in state one hour prior to funeral service.

Interment will follow in Memorial Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday evening 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Swain Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers are Trey Ryals, Mark Melton, Bob Pinckard, Timmy Martin, Gene Mann & Henry Crosby.

Honorary Pallbearers are Appling County Class of 1977 & Football Team, Dr. Errol G. Graham, Beverly Rivers Johnson, Former employees of Winn Dixie, Gideons International Baxley and Auxiliary, Serenity Hospice, Encouragers Sunday School Class of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
