Roy Omer Aldridge

Roy Omer Aldridge, age 72, of Alma died Monday, November 11, 2013 at the Bacon County Hospital in Alma.
Mr. Aldridge was born December 17, 1940 in Bacon County to the late Thomas Omer and Myrtie Mae Hersey Aldridge. He was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church and was employed by General Housing. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Mae Crosby Aldridge and a brother, Harry Aldridge.
Survivors include his daughters, Janet (Tommy) Courson, Cindy (Keith) Simmons and Lori (Colby) Barber all of Alma; son, John Campbell of St. Petersburg, FL; sisters, Merle SoSebee of Alma and Faye Stanley of Florida; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild also survive.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 14, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Williamson officiating.
Interment will follow in Satilla Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are, Wayne Crosby, Greg Carter, Raymond Crosby, Ronnie Crosby, Henry Crosby and Linton Deloach.
Honorary pallbearers are all in attendance.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 PM at Swain Funeral Home.
