Ruth Lightsey Johnson

Ruth Lightsey Johnson, age 93, died Monday, August 17, 2015 in the Lakeview Retirement Center.

Mrs. Johnson was born October 3, 1921 in Bristol to the late Willis Lightsey and the late Mamie Bryson Lightsey and was the widow of the late Horace Johnson. She was a retired school teacher and a member of Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Johnson.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Steve Hughes officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
