Sandra Lula "Sandy" Carter, age 69, of Baxley died Monday, June 2, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah.
Mrs. Carter was born March 1, 1945 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late Durant Weeks and the late Lula Seals Weeks. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church. Mrs. Carter was a retired Seamstress.
Survivors include her husband, Colvin Carter of Baxley; 2 daughters, Regina Benton of Boiling Spring, SC and Kim Carter of Inman, SC; 3 sons and daughters in law, Chris & Rena Goforth of Chattanooga, TN, Kevin & Amanda Carter & Blake Carter all of Baxley; Brother & sister in law, Jimmy & Alicia Weeks of Greenville, Texas. Nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, & several nieces & nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 6, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Beecher and Rev. Wayne Williamson officiating.
Interment will follow in Ten Mile Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are Andy Harrelson, Randy Harrelson, Brandon Harrelson, Curtis Hallman, Jeff Pearce and Aaron Williamson.
Honorary pallbearers are all friends in attendance.
Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral service.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
