Selma Lee Hix

Selma Lee Hix, age 89, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015.
She was born September 27, 1925 in Ware County to the late Dolphus Martin Cobb and the late Georgia Davis Cobb. Mrs. Hix was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Maxwell Hix, a son, Dennis Maxwell Hix and sister, Anna Deane Wilson.
Survivors include her daughter & son in law, Diane & Ralph Thornton of Hoboken; Son & daughter in law, Rev. Dannie & Mary Ann Hix of Marietta; 6 grandchildren, Martin (Darlene) Thornton, Kelvin (Audry) Thornton, Ralenda T. (Mark) Johnson, Raleeta (Lynn) Davis, Miranda (Justin) Calvert, Dana (Gregg) Ramsey, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, several nieces and nephews and one special friend, Jeanette Beckworth.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Omega Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are Randall Kersey, Jessie Stone, Lynn Davis, David Kersey, Timmy Martin and Mark Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers are Nina Wigley & co-workers of Ace Hardware, Ministers & members of Church of God of Prophecy, special friends, Janette Beckworth, Dot Harvey, Althea Lamb, Pat Taylor, Denise Bird, Connie Knight, Billy Jo Carter.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Swain Funeral Home.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
