Shirley Mae Skinner

April 29, 1947 — July 3, 2021

Shirley Mae Skinner, age 74, of Baxley passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Appling Healthcare System.

Mrs. Skinner was born April 29, 1947 in Jeff Davis County to the late C.W. Turner and the late Daisy Mae Thomas Turner and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Skinner, and a daughter, Rhonda Carter.

Survivors include her daughter, Angela Skinner of Baxley; son, Kelvin Skinner of Baxley; sister, Wuanelle Froehlich of Graham; Grandchildren, Christopher Hagar, Joshua Craven, Rose Craven, Jolene Craven, Amelia Marie Skinner, Kim Stancil, Jason Carter, Heath Skinner, Reid Skinner; and Jace Hagar; several great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Gardener officiating. Interment will follow in Asbury Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at Swain Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Jerry Wayne Smith, Sr., Jerry Wayne Smith, Jr., Joshua Craven, Albert Christopher Hagar, Kelvin Skinner, and Reid Skinner.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
