Sidney Frost

Sidney M. Frost, age 94, of Baxley who died Friday, April 4, 2014 at her residence.

Mrs. Frost was born September 4, 1919 in Emanuel County to the late John Fleming and Sipper Sutton Moring. She was preceded in death by her husband, Quentin Frost. Mrs. Frost was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a social worker with Appling County Department of Family and Children Services.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Glenda & Darwin Crummey of Baxley; 2 sons & daughters in law, Randall & Susan Frost of Gainesville and David & Deborah Frost of Alpharetta; 5 grandchildren, Susannah Yost, Charles Frost, April Scruggs, Whit Frost, and Sloan Frost; 4 great grandchildren, Drew Scruggs, Bryson Scruggs, Adeline Yost, and Claiborne Yost.

Funeral services will be held, Monday, April 7, at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral service. Rev. Thad Harvey and Rev. Rick Brown will officiate.

Entombment will follow in Omega Cemetery.

Active pallbearers are Jeff Yost, Andrew Scruggs , Whit Frost, Sloan Frost, Charles Frost and Drew Scruggs.

Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6 until 8 PM at Swain Funeral Home.
