Thurmon D. Vaughn, age 81, of Baxley died Friday, December 22, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Vaughn was born February 22, 1936 in Appling County to the late Paul Vaughn and the late Beatrice Arnold Vaughn. He retired as a Beekeeper Supervisor for York Bee Company.
Survivors include his wife Ettie Mae Varnadore Vaughn of Baxley; two daughters, Cindy Vaughn Stewart & husband, Warren & Tammy Vaughn Canady & husband, Wayne all of Baxley; son, Michael Vaughn of Vidalia; sisters, Reba Vaughn McLeod & husband, Howard of Vidalia, Peggy Vaughn Middleton & husband, Carl of Huntsville, AL, Bobbette Vaughn Johnson & husband, Carol of Augusta, Joyce Vaughn Stover & husband, Dorsey & Betty Sue Vaughn Boatright & husband, Eddie all of Baxley; brothers, Raymond Vaughn & wife, Patsy of Ocala, FL, Sherwood Vaughn & wife, Jane of Augusta, David Vaughn & wife, Terri, & Roger Vaughn both of Baxley; grandchildren, Kandi (Ryan) Taylor, Katelyn (Dalton) Crews, Chase Sharpe, Lucas Canady, Torie (James) Hunter, C.G. Stewart, Drew Vaughn, Josie Vaughn, Calix Vaughn, great grandchildren, Eli Thurmon Miles, Maelee Miles & Fitzryan Taylor.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Christ Community Church with Rev. Stacy Stone, Rev. Tommy Daniels officiating & eulogies by Kandi Taylor, Betty Boatright & Ezra Varnadore.
Visitation will be held Saturday at Christ Community Church at 1:00 PM until the funeral hour.
Interment will follow in Omega Cemetery.
