Timothy Paul Courson, age 55, died Wednesday, January 7, 2015.

Mr. Courson was born January 7, 1960 in Appling County to the late Carson John Courson and the late Dorothy Marie Walker Courson. He attended Spring Branch Baptist Church. He was owner & operator of Courson's Paint & Body Shop and Courson Family Farms. Mr. Courson was preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Rexroat.

Survivors include his wife, Suzanne Courson of Baxley; 2 daughters & son in law, Shyann Courson and Leigh Ann & Kyle Ross of Baxley; Sister & Brother in Law, Lynn & David Lowe of Hendersonville, TN; 2 Brothers & sister in law, John & Linda Courson & Stephen Courson both of Baxley; 4 grandchildren, Trent Head, Kaden, Kooper & Konner Ross.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Woodlawn Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Gill & Rev. Lamar Lee officiating. Mr. Courson will lie in state one hour prior to funeral service at the church.

Interment will follow in Omega Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers will be Jimmy Flood, Jerry Hallman, Lawrence Proctor, Darrell Summerall, Lewis White & Shaun Hutchinson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Phil & Sasha Lewis, Wanda Sue Gould, Mike Tippins, Kenny & Rhonda Stone, Wadis & Sherry Edwards, Employees of Courson's Paint & Body Shop, Sarah's Flower & Gift Shop, Courson Family Farms, Terry Thomas, Jimmy Crosby, Freddie & Donna White, Cohen & Rennae Griffin , Roger Dale & Linda Carter & Ray & Angela Harrell & David & Merlene Gore.

Visitation will be Friday evening 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Swain Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
