Timothy Aaron Hipps, age 44, of Cleveland, Georgia passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia.
Mr. Hipps was born March 11, 1979 in Jesup, Georgia and was preceded in death by his father, Jackie Evan Hipps, his father who raised him, Larry Sellers, and his brother, Chris Sellers. He graduated from Appling County High School in 1997 and then attended Berry College and Mercer University. He received a degree in Information Technology and went on to make a career of it. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan, making every effort to be in Athens on gameday or, at least in front of a TV, watching his beloved Dawgs. But, above all, he enjoyed spending time with his boys playing baseball, basketball, or fishing.
Survivors include his two sons, Charles J. Hipps and Lane Rainey both of Macon; mother, Mary Sellers of Cleveland; and two sisters, Machelle (Danny) Green and Tammy Sellers both of Baxley. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Sellers and Sister Agnes Sellers officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
