Vernon Carroll Williams

Vernon Carroll Williams, age 69, of Baxley passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Williams was born August 27, 1951 in Bacon County to the late Vernon Thomas Williams and the late Juanita Bullard Williams.  He was a member of Graham United Methodist Church, and the former owner of Golden Isles Supply Company in Graham.

Survivors include his wife, Rita C. Williams of Baxley; a son & daughter-in-law, Chip & Amy Williams of Baxley; sisters and brothers-in-law, Billy & Waunell Brewer of Graham and Ed & Jean Stetzer of Fernandina Beach, FL; Mother-in-law, Christine Cooper of Baxley.  Two grandchildren, Anna Logan Yeargan and Carter Brogan Williams also survive.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Graham United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Meguiar officiating.

Interment will follow in the Graham United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Swain Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Craig Padgett, David Earl Stone, Johnny Padgett, Juan Garcia, Bubba Brewer, Kasey Knight, Ketul Patel, Miles Zachary, and Richie Williams.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Graham Coffee Group, Graham United Methodist Church, Employees of Golden Isles Supply Company, Earl Baucom, Paul Brewer, Johnny Falls, Billy Brewer, Jason Law, Terry Bennett, Ed Stetzer, Brad Cooper, Pete Cooper, Darrell Cooper, Tyler Hardee, David Williamson, and Tripp Hardee.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Graham United Methodist Church Building Fund (c/o, Rita Williams  253 Williams Dr. Baxley, GA 31513).

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
