Waunell Lightsey

Waunell Lightsey, age 85, passed away February 22, 2016.

Mrs. Lightsey was born May 7, 1930 in Willacoochee, Georgia to the late I T Gamble and the late Molly Fowler Gamble. She was a member of Screven Church of God. Mrs. Lightsey was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Lightsey.

Survivors include her three daughters, Jackie Dubberly of Hortense, Carolyn Robbins of Blackshear and Cheryl Lightsey of Odum; One sister, Jackie O'Quinn of Waycross; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and special friends and neighbors, Ginger Proudfoat, Evelyn Cooper, Joan Carter, Sissy Wainright, Deborah Nichols, Lois Hardee, Tommy & Velma Tyre and Mack, Jr. and Wanda Griffis.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 25, 2016 from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Myland Brookins officiating & eulogies by Deborah Nichols and Angie Ingram.

Interment will follow in Zion Church of God Cemetery.

Active pallbearers are Dwaine O'Quinn, Ronnie O'Quinn, Randy Deal, Lance Atkins, John Deal and James Boatright.

Honorary Pallbearers are the staff of Hospice Satilla of Waycross.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Swain Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Hospice Satilla House, 811 Beacon Street, Waycross, Ga. 31501.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
