Wilbur David Breedlove

Wilbur David Breedlove, age 68, of Hazlehurst passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Memorial Health in Savannah.

Mr. Breedlove was born July 14, 1956 in Bacon County. He was a devoted member of Oakland Baptist Church where he served as the Training Union Director and in many other capacities throughout the community. He enjoyed tinkering with various tasks and retired from Hazlehurst Mills. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kelly Breedlove; mother, Eula Mae Rowell Goldburg; brother, Jimmy Breedlove; stepmother, Marlene Breedlove; and his beloved fur baby, Montana. 

Survivors include his wife of nearly 50 years, Janie Kersey Breedlove of Hazlehurst; sons, Dale (Valerie) Breedlove and Jason (Leslie) Breedlove both of Hazlehurst; father, Richard Breedlove of Hazlehurst; sister, Patricia (Craig) Stinson of Lumber City; brothers, Daryl (Vickie) Breedlove of Hazlehurst and Tony (Kim) Breedlove of Graham; seven grandchildren: Johnathan Breedlove, Justin Breedlove, Taylor Hutchinson, Jordan Breedlove, Melinda Breedlove, Carly Hand and Kaylee Breedlove; one great grandchild, Kaiden Wright; and his fur babies, Bex and Drako.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Oakland Baptist Church with Rev. Royce Hulett, Rev. Joey Andrews, Rev. Michael Beecher officiating and a eulogy by Kevin Hulett. Interment will follow in Oakland Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Kole Gillis, Josh Riley, T. J. Beecher, Mark Gillis, Jordan Breedlove, Justin Breedlove and Johnathan Breedlove.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Senior Adult Sunday School Class of Oakland Baptist Church, Kerry Vaughn, Jessica Medders, Casey Edenfield and Pee Wee Crosby.

A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
