William "Charlie" Charles Ware

William Charles “Charlie” Ware, age 61, of Riverview, FL passed away Friday, January 26, 2024 at his Baxley residence.

Mr. Ware was born July 24, 1962 in Tampa, Florida to the late Robert Lee Ware and the late Bobbie Carter Ware.  He is a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a retired car hauler for 25 years at Allied Automotive Group. Mr. Ware was preceded in death by two stepdaughters, Jacqui Leipold and Rachel Leipold.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy “Dori” Ware of Riverview, FL; stepson, Stephen Leipold of Tampa, FL; brothers, Paul (Mary) Ware and Rick (Lisa) Ware; grandchildren, Lilliana Madera and Jason Leipold; and five nephews and nieces, Michael Ware, Thomas Ware, Samuel Ware, Rachel Taylor and Russell Ware. Numerous other family members and close friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 31, 2024, at 11:00am at Friendship Baptist Church 209 Friendship Church Rd Odum, Georgia 31555 with Rev. Kevin Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, with Military Honors. Procession to the church will leave Swain Funeral Home at 10:00am.

Active pallbearers will be Jason Leipold, Stephen Leipold, Russell Ware, Michael Ware, Thomas Ware and Samuel Ware.

Visitation will be held Tuesday January 30, 2024, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in the chapel of Swain Funeral Home.
