Willie Kent Adams, age 71, of Baxley passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022 at his residence.
Mr. Adams was born September 5, 1950 in Appling County to the late Bill Kent Adams and the late Beulah Deen Adams. He was a retired Iron worker and Truck Driver with Bax-Steel Buildings. Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his wife, Madie Blanton Adams; sisters, Jewel Hollar and Thelma Hardwick; brothers, Billy Adams, Kenneth Adams and Donnie Adams; and step-sons, Van Patrick and Frank Patrick.
Survivors include his children, Jamie (Debbie) Adams of Jesup and Robbie (Wendy) Adams of Odum; Quinda Patrick, Missy (Al) Meadows and Gail (Dale) Dixon all of Baxley; brothers, Lonnie (Sharon) Adams of Baxley and James Adams of Hazlehurst; and nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren also survived.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Justin McLellan and Rev. Tony Forehand officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Walter Revels, Jerry Crapps, Shawn Steptoe, Tony Adams, Kenny Wright and Eric Mincey.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. & Mrs. Clifton Mincey, Oliver Hall, Dr. Orlando Fernando & staff, Kenny Upchurch & staff of Bax-Steel, Kimberly Wiggins Boatright, Ken Wiggins and Nathalal M. "Nick" Patel.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Swain Funeral Home.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
