Willis Clifton Kersey, age 69, of Baxley passed away Friday, October 8, 2021 at St. Joseph Hospital in Savannah.
Mr. Kersey was born May 2, 1952 in Appling County to the late Dutch Kersey and the late Isabel Mincey Kersey. He was a retired operator with Baxley Veneer & Cleat Mill. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Thomas and brothers, Charles Kersey and David Kersey.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Kersey; daughters, Brittany Kersey and Kaitlin Kersey; sons, Clifton Kersey, Jeremy Kersey, Jamie Kersey, Christopher Kersey, Kaden Kersey, and John Kersey, Jr.; sisters Betty Weaver and Mildred Stone; and brothers Jake Kersey and Roger Evans. Eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Mitchell Jones officiating.
Interment will follow in Asbury Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Jamie Kersey, Jeremy Kersey, Blake Kersey, Seth Kersey, Christopher Kersey and Aaron Hall.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
