Wilma Morris Craven, age 91, of Baxley passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 at her residence under the care of Comfort Care Hospice.
Mrs. Craven was born March 25, 1929 in Appling County to the late Tom Lawton Morris and the late Mamie Lou Shipes Morris. She was a member of Ten Mile Creek Baptist Church and a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Craven was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth “Bud” Craven; brothers, Ira Poole, Carlos Poole, Phil Poole, Junior Morris, & Willie Morris; and sisters, Inez Poole Hall and Ernestine Morris Overstreet.
Survivors include her son & daughter in law, Darwin & Glenda Crummey of Baxley; sisters & brothers in law, Mary Sally & Charles Hubbard of Jesup, Martha Ann & Dennis Poppell of Odom; granddaughter, April (Andrew) Scruggs of Sugar Hill; two great grandsons, Drew (Kirsten) Scruggs of Athens and Bryson Scruggs of Sugar Hill.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Ten Mile Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Rick Brown and Rev. Tommy Daniels officiating.
Active Pallbearers will be Drew Scruggs, Bryson Scruggs, Mike Luke, Ted Craven, Shane Buffkin, Brad McDaniel and Chip Craven.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Ted Craven, James Buffkin, Mike Luke, Franchesca Rocha, Debbie Branch, Carla James, Mattie Nails, and the Staff of Comfort Care Hospice for their loving care and friendship.
Remembrances may be made to the Appling County Food Bank (P.O. Box 528 Baxley, GA 31515).
