Winifred Moody Fowler

Winifred M. Fowler, age 99, died Thursday, August 13, 2015 in Gray, GA.
Mrs. Fowler was born July 13, 1916 in Appling County to the late George Moody and Ida Jones Moody. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Hubert Moody, Lamar Moody, Norwood Moody, Harold Moody, Robert Moody and one sister, Lillian Nabers.
She was a member of Dunn Memorial Baptist Church and a retired teacher having taught in Baxley, Macon and College Park. She attended Berry College and Georgia College.
Survivors include four nieces; Frances Thornton of Gray, GA, Ruby Russell of Atlanta, GA, Agatha Thrash of Seale, AL, Joyce McGraw of Fort Pierce, FL and two nephews Brantley Moody of Baxley, GA and Lamar Moody of New Hartford, CT.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Swain Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Brown officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Swain Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow in Moody Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
