Winnie Hutchinson Doyle

January 23, 1920 — October 24, 2015

Mrs. Winnie Hutchinson Doyle, age 95, of Baxley died Saturday, October 24, 2015 at her residence.

Mrs. Doyle was born January 23, 1920 in Appling County to the late William Hutchinson and the late Jennie Carter Hutchinson. Mrs. Doyle was a member of First Baptist Church and was a retired secretary for Doyle Electric Inc. She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Doyle, grandson, Tony Fountain and great grandson, Kevin Fountain.

Survivors include daughters, Ann Wallace of Dublin, Rose Yawn of Baxley and Linda Powell of Louisville; sons, Douglas (Dovie) Doyle and Gene (Bonnell) Doyle all of Baxley; brother, Way Hutchinson of Baxley; 17 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren and caregiver, Lucy Dart. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 28 at 2:00 PM from First Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Wigley officiating.

Mrs. Doyle will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral service.

Burial will follow in Omega Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers are grandsons, Randy Doyle, Seth Yawn, Daron Doyle, Eric Powell, Timy Fountain, and Luke Lightsey.

Honorary Pallbearers are the Queen Esther Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 PM at Swain Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
