Winton Thomas “Wink” Herrin, Sr., age 69, of Baxley passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida.
Mr. Herrin was born June 1, 1951 in Appling County to the late Thomas Aubrey Herrin and the late Ima Dean Fowler Herrin. He was retired from the Appling Co. Board of Education and the owner of Fun Buggies. Mr. Herrin was a member of Harvest Temple Church of God and a former pianist for the Songsmen.
Survivors include his wife, Jody Herrin of Baxley; sons & daughters-in-law, Winton Thomas “Tohn” & Cherae Herrin, Jr. of Brunswick, Mason Thomas Herrin and James Rusty & Ashley Bracewell both Baxley; grandchildren, Jake Herrin, Jared Herrin, Bryson Bracewell, Katie Herrin, and Ragan Bracewell. A special cousin, Greg Herrin also survives.
A graveside service will be held Friday, October 2, 2020 at 3:30 p.m. at Zoar Cemetery with Rev. Earl Wiggins and Rev. Billy Bratton officiating.
Active pallbearers will be Rusty Bracewell, Mason Herrin, Jeremy White, Christopher Arnaud, Chandler Smith, and Jake Herrin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bill & Deloris Bowers, Billy & Ruth Vaughn, Carroll & Wanda Waters, Henry & Marsha Jones, Randy & Agnes Sellers, Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Turner, and Eddie Dent.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
